  1. About  SRDH Project

 

The MP SRDH is working as project under Madhya Pradesh State Electronics Development Corporation (MPSEDC) Limited,  MPSEDC is aadhaar authentication agency (AUA), and provides aadhar authentication services to various departments of government of Madhya Pradesh in MP SRDH project.

 

The SRDH would help Government departments in “better and effective service delivery to citizens, by uniquely identifying the beneficiaries.”SRDH will help Gov. in Integrated planning and monitoring of schemesÂ’, since it will have data from multiple departments

( 2) Objectives- State Resident Data Hub (SRDH) is an Integrated Framework which provides unique centralized citizen database for citizens. It acts as a single source of truth for residents.The main objectives of the project -

 

< >To help department create de-duplicated, standardized and clean database  by linking Aadhar id (i.e. Aadhar seeding) of the beneficiaries.Authenticate when beneficiary comes next time for service using his Aadhar and biometric information, so that right beneficiary gets the service.Manage complete State level Resident Data in a Digitized, Centralized and Secure manner Enhance Aadhaar Data Security Leverage Resident Data in Service Delivery Applications.Easily incorporate Aadhaar authentication &eKYC into various applicationsUID Authentication

 

The purpose of Authentication is to enable residents to prove their identity and for service providers to confirm that the residents are 'who they say they are' in order to supply services and give access to benefits.

This customer identification process is known as "Know Your Customer" (KYC) and is prevalent among financial institutions and Telco's. eKYC service was accepted as a valid process for KYC verification under Prevention of Money Laundering (Maintenance of Records) Rules, 2005.

·  What is Aadhaar Id or UID
Aadhaar is a 12 digit individual identification number issued by the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) on behalf of the Government of India. This number will serve as a proof of identity and address, anywhere in India. Any individual, irrespective of age and gender, who is a resident in India and satisfies the verification process laid down by the UIDAI, can enroll for Aadhaar. Each individual needs to enroll only once which is free of cost. Aadhaar number will help you provide access to services like banking, mobile phone connections and other Govt and Non-Govt services in due course.

·  Which act governs the legal aspects of Aadhaar project?
The Aadhaar (Targeted Delivery of Financial and other Subsidies, benefits and services) Act, 2016 is a money bill of the Parliament of India. It aims to provide legal backing to the Aadhaar unique identification number project. It was passed on the 11 March 2016 by the Lok Sabha

·  How can I authenticate Aadhaar Id of a person?
There are multiple online services provided by MP SRDH portal which take input from the user and uniquely verify the resident and his/her Aadhaar ID using the Central Identities Data Repository (CIDR). The modes of authentication are:

< >Biometric authentication: Require UID and the biometric (finger print or iris scan) of the resident for authentication.Demographic authentication:Require UID and demographic information (Name/Mobile No. /Email address) of the resident.OTP authentication:On entry of UID, a one-time password (OTP) is sent to the mobile number registered with UIDAI to identify the resident.eKYC:UIDAI offers the e-KYC service, which enables a resident having an Aadhaar number to share their demographic information and photograph with a UIDAI partner organization in an online, secure, auditable manner with the residents consent. The consent by the resident can be given via a Biometric authentication or OTP authentication.DBT seeding data viewer (DSDV):department user can view the demographic details and photograph available in UIDAI database (CIDR) by entering UID / EID of the beneficiary. The user will match the above demographic details with those available in the service provider database.Proper identification leading to better targeting of development schemes provided by government and private sector. Ensuring all fake, duplicate and ghost records are weeded out from databases so that leakages resulting from such records are avoided. Increased reach and efficiency in delivering many goods and services like PDS, banking and financial services, telecom, health, insurance, education etc. No repeated KYC checks for residents.Organic Seeding: seeding is done using the details of UID are collected by interaction of concerned department officials with the resident beneficiary.Inorganic Seeding: seeding done without involvement of the resident beneficiary.
